Peninsular House, Dublin
Posted by George Gunton - 5 January 2015

CDMS Architects has been appointed to design a new build contemporary family home on the Howth Peninsular, near Dublin.

The hillside site has spectacular multi aspect views overlooking Dublin Bay and the Irish Sea. The project involves the demolition of an existing 1960s bungalow and moving the accommodation higher on the site to ensure the new spaces take maximum advantage of the views.

The concept for this design is driven by views, and the design is a product of the house’s immediate environment. The building layout and form has been generated entirely by the angle of views out across Dublin Bay, to Gleneagry and towards Baily Lighthouse from the ideal vantage point on the site.
