This property is a Grade II listed Italianate villa-style dwelling constructed in the mid-nineteenth century. It is a three-storey semi-detached property with a basement located within a conservation area in Brighton.
CDMS Architects was appointed to refurbish and re-configure the interior of the property which has lead to the reinstatement of many of the buildings original features. The lower ground floor is restored to its original state, creating a new open dining room space with library along with the reinstatement of a fireplace and dumbwaiter. The ground floor continues to benefit from these original features as the reinstatement of an original opening allowed us to expand the kitchen into a much larger and lighter space.
Other changes to the property include restoring and incorporating mouldings and other details to match the buildings original style and restoring the roof to its original state.
